Photograph: Fritz Berhard Collection: AAAMD Notre mission est définie dans nos statuts, à l'article 1 : a) faire mieux connaître l'art de Marcel Dupré et retenir pour tous les temps futurs, en le fixant au moyen d'enregistrements, et leur diffusion un aspect fondamental mais fugitif de l'art du XXe siècle, caractérisé par l'épanouissement et l'élargissement des formes et langages musicaux traditionnels réalisé dans les improvisations de Marcel Dupré grâce à près de trois-quarts de siècle de pratique ininterrompue, tant dans le domaine de la création (écrite ou improvisée) que dans celui de l'enseignement, la pédagogie et l'interprétation ; b) publier des archives diverses concernant Marcel Dupré, c) organiser des célébrations musicales au cours desquelles seront exécutées des compositions écrites ou improvisées de Marcel Dupré. Our Mission as stated in Article 1 of our Bylaws: a) To promote a greater appreciation of the Art of Marcel Dupré by capturing it through recordings and their dissemination, and thus preserve for future generations a fundamental yet fleeting aspect of 20th century art. The blossoming and expansion of traditional musical forms and idioms realized in the improvisations and compositions of Marcel Dupré is the result of nearly three-quarters of a century of uninterrupted practice spanning the realms of creation (both written and improvised), teaching, pedagogy and performance. b) To publish archival materials concerning Marcel Dupré. c) To organize musical celebrations featuring performances of Marcel Dupré's compositions, both written and improvised.
